International Theatre Festival Reykjavík – 3rd edition

This time we´re introducing some of the finest theatregroups working in the Nordic countries today. Theatre artists in Scandinavia are cooperating as never before and some wonderful examples of their cooperation and partnership can be seen at this year´s festival.
Speaking about the shows ... some of them are radical re-readings of older works (Teatr Weimar, Nya Rampen, Teater Får302), while others are to be placed on the border of reality and fiction (De Utvalgte, 16 elskendur, Kviss Búmm Bang).
Headlining the festival this year is Rimini Protokoll; crowned leader of „documentary theatre“ and winner of the European Theatre Award 2008.
In addition to the theatre program we have post-show talks lined up as well as a symposium on New Nordic theatre at the Nordic House.
On Saturday the 4th of September we´ll join our partners at the Reykjavík Dance Festival for an amazing party at Iðnó Theatre. Don´t miss it!
