Árni Heimir Ingólfsson will give an open lecture on Friday June 4 2010 on music and psalm tradition in post-reformation Iceland.
This is the opening lecture of a conference organized by The Árni Magnússon Institute for Icelandic Studies and Skálholt where the main focus is on seventeenth century Nordic literature.
Guðrún Nordal will open the conference and the program will proceed in Skálholt on Friday night and on the Saturday. A concert will be held at the Skálholt Cathedral at 3 pm on the Saturday.
