There is a thin thread connecting the four movies of the festival: meeting the other - other people, other cultures different from one's own. The Italian emigrants of Nuovomondo dreaming of a better life in the US in the early 20th century, the complex relationship of a young French family and villagers when settling in the Italian Alps presented in Il vento fail suo giro, the clash between dreams and exploitation experienced by the protagonist of Lamerica during his journey to Albany, the tragedy of illegal immigration seen through a child's eyes in Quando sei nato non puoi più nasconderti. Stories to consider and think about, we are somehow emigrants all of us…
