The International music day, Austurland and The Nordic house
MUSIC AND FEELINGS
For the third time the concert series will take place in Iceland and the East Iceland /Austurland / for celebrating The International Music Day. This time the main idea concerns associations of the artistic classical music and the traditional folk music in the context of cultural experiences of different countries.
Icelandic, Norwegian and Polish music will be performed. The project includes both instrumental as well as vocal music. Through the music words gain the new dimension.
Such attributes of the language as the natural melody and the rhythm highlight its expressive function as well as they let notice individuality and the uniqueness of the national languages.
The celebrity of the International Music Day is special occasion to consider about the role of the music, especially classical, but not only, in the everyday life of the individual and the local communities, about the role of the music but more widely about art in the development of societies, functions of the music as the factor bringing nations closer, as the stimulus of the spiritual human condition in the situation of globalization.
