Open lecture series at the Nordic house and the University of Iceland
Climate change
The Nordic house, master's programme in Environment and Natural Resources and Institute for Sustainability studies at the University of Iceland, hold a series of lectures this fall about climate change. The speakers are acclaimed scientist from Iceland and abroad. This course will cover; the science of climate change, the impact of climate change on physical, biological and social systems in Iceland and abroad. Climate forecasts and models. Climate change mitigation, adaptation and vulnerability. Negotiations, international agreements and future targets.
The lecture series start September 9th at 15:00 in the Nordic house. First speaker will be Halldór Björnsson and his talk is named The scientific base of climate change. All the lectures will be in English and are a part of the master's programme in Environment and Natural Resources at the University of Iceland.
