Sustainable urban planning - an open lecture

Donald Miller has been an active researcher and advisor on creating more liveable cities and strategies for sustainable development.

He has also studied environmental justice, especially the development of metrics of fairness and the use of sustainability indicators in creating a sustainable plan.

Donald Miller will discuss  the experience of using sustainability indicators on the project Sustainable Seattle  as well as public policies for sustainable development in the US with a focus on planning under the Washington State Growth Management Act.

The lecture is given in English at the Nordic House on Friday April 27 at 12:00.

Donald Miller is a professor of planning at the University of Washington in Seattle. He a founder and the chair of the International Urban Planning and Environment Association that organizes a series of international symposiums, and a co-editor of the book series Urban Planning and Environment
