Christopher Vasey, naturopath and author, talks about the secret of birth at the Nordic House on Tuesday 23rd of April at 20:00. The lecture will be in English. Everybody is welcome, entrance fee 500 ISK.

The Nordic House in Reykjavik will be the platform of an interesting reflection on the culture of food and mealculture in Germany and the Nordic region during 17-18th of March 2013, held in connection to the event DesignMarch of Reykjavik.

The Norwegian jewellery engineer Sigurd Bronger will have a lecture on his work at the Nordic House.

MESSA Vision is next in line preceding the first international art fair to be held in Iceland - MESSA Art fair! The symposium will be held at the Nordic House on the 1st of June at 3 pm.

Professor Donald Miller from the University of Washington in Seattle will give an open lecture about sustainable urban planning at the Nordic House on Friday April 27 at 12:00. The lecture will be in English.

The proffessor and landscape architect Stig L. Anderson will describe challenges like sustainable developement, capacity issues, the growing popularity of urban area and climate changes with focus on the official  space and the city space. NOrdic House, 15th of March 20.00

A new cultural fund was established earlier this year in China, the China-Iceland Cultural Fund.

Chairman of the fund in China and the sponsor is the buisnessman and poet Huang Nubo and his company Zhongkun Group in Beijing, China.

Friday June 25, at 5 o'clock: Interview with Sara Blædel, a crime novelist from Denmark

To celebrate the publication of an Icelandic translation of Sara Blædel's crime novel, Aldrig mere fri, the author will be interviewed at the Nordic House in Reykjavik on Friday, June 25 at 5. Sara Blædel was nominated the best Danish author in 2009 by Danish readers and her novels have been published to a great critical acclaim.
